Development of strategies that combine irAE management with antitumor effects
研究概要
(日本語)
がん免疫療法の効果を最大限に発揮させる上で、他のがん治療にはない副作用(免疫関連有害事象:irAE)のマネジメントは不可欠である。しかし、これまで抗腫瘍効果を高めることのみが優先され、irAEのマネジメントは自己免疫疾患同様、ステロイドや免疫抑制剤に依存していた。しかし、irAEの典型的自己免疫疾患との差異、抗がん作用とirAEを誘導する免疫応答の本質的な相違は不明であり、これらを明らかにすることを本研究の目的とする。特に、irAE発症メカニズムの解析、ステロイドや制御性T細胞の標的同定、それらに影響を受けない抗腫瘍免疫応答惹起法の確立、そして、記憶T細胞の作用機序に焦点を絞り研究を展開する。そしてその成果をもとに、抗腫瘍効果とirAE制御を両立する新規複合がん免疫療法を開発するための基盤構築を目指す。
