分子生物学および生化学的手法と物理学的手法を融合し、生体高分子であるタンパク質の機能と動的構造を解明する研究を進めている。特に酸化還元反応およびフォールディング反応を司るマルチドメインタンパク質に興味関心を持っている。 また、ダイズ種子貯蔵タンパク質にも着目し、その物性と構造に関する研究も進めている。
