I am conducting research on cerebrovascular disease and stroke. My regions of interest are intracranial aneurysm, cerebral ischemia and imaging of CNS system. As for education, I strive continuously to educate university students in the medical faculty, young neurosurgeons and postgraduate students.

研究概要

実験的脳動脈瘤モデルおよびCFD(computational fluid dynamics)を用いて、脳動脈瘤壁に生じる血行力学的や炎症性変化のメカニズムを解明して、脳動脈瘤の発生・増大・破裂のメカニズムを解明し、脳動脈瘤に対する新規治療法の開発を目指す。

We investigate the hemodynamic stress and inflammatory changes in the arterial walls of intracranial aneurysms using an experimentally induced intracranial aneurysm modeland computational fluid dynamics to elucidate mechanisms of occurrence, enlargement and rupture of intracranial aneurysms and to develop a novel treatment modality for intracranial aneurysms.
