多細胞による高度な生命現象を解明するためには、生体組織などの細胞集団の中にいる細胞1つ1つの個性を解析する必要があります。生体組織の観察には、2光子蛍光顕微鏡が有用とされているのが、市販されている2光子蛍光顕微鏡では、性能がまだまだ足りない。本研究室では、これまで可視化できなかった生命現象を可視化することを目的として、生体組織の観察に最適なレーザーの開発、新奇イメージング技術や光操作技術の開発などを行います。

Two-photon fluorescence microscopy is a powerful tool for investigating biological phenomena in biological tissues. However, imaging characteristics beyond those of commercially available two-photon fluorescence microscopes are required. In this laboratory, we develop novel imaging and optical manipulation techniques for investigating biological phenomena.
