I am conducting research on catalysis and photocatalysis. I work hard every day to help and support undergraduate and graduate students to get the practical skills to conduct joint research and express the achievement through our research activities. Furthermore, I take part in several committees and work diligently toward the improvement of the environment of the university.

Overview of the research

太陽光エネルギーの有効利用やCO2排出量の削減,環境にやさしい化学プロセスの開発に貢献できる触媒・光触媒の開発に取り組んでいる.また,SPring-8などの大型放射光施設での実験などを駆使して触媒が実際に機能しているその瞬間を捉え,触媒の作用機構の解明に注力している.触媒開発と分析を両輪として上記の課題の解決に貢献することを目標としている.

We develop noble catalysts and photocatalysts for effective utilization of solar energy, reduction of CO2 emission, and development of environmentally-friendly chemical processes. Besides, we also focus on in situ characterization of the catalyst materials to elucidate the reaction mechanism in the working condition.
