Biomechanics of biological growth and remodeling
Overview of the research

力学、生命科学、医科学を含む学際的な観点から、多様な生命現象における自律的な制御機構の解明を目指している。特に、骨代謝・リモデリングと脳形態形成を対象として、実験と数理モデリング、計算機シミュレーションを組み合わせたバイオメカニクス・メカノバイオロジー研究に取り組んでいる。

The major focus of my research is to clarify the self-organized regulatory mechanisms of a diverse biological phenomena through interdisciplinary approaches encompassing mechanics, life science, and medical sciences. Specifically, I have been fascinated by bone remodeling and brain morphogenesis, and working on integrated biomechanics and mechanobiology studies using experiments, mathematical modeling, and computer simulation.
