肝胆膵・移植外科医として臨床に従事する一方で2009年から肝移植についての研究をしている。京都大学は日本有数の生体肝移植数を誇る施設であり虚血再灌流障害の克服をテーマとして基礎研究、トランスレーショナル研究を行っている。教育に関しては、研究室の大学院生との共同研究の中で、実践的に研究能力を身につけさせることを目指している。

I am a hepato-pancreato-biliary and transplant surgeon. My work in transplantation research started in 2009, Japan. I have been engaged basic and translational transplant research at Kyoto University, one of the largest living donor liver transplant programs in the country . The main focus of my study is ischemia reperfusion injury.
