Overview of the research

抗がん剤の副作用のメカニズムやその対処法を確立することを目的に研究を行っている。白金系抗がん剤であるオキサリプラチンは副作用として高頻度に末梢神経障害を発現する。これまで、末梢の血流障害が末梢神経障害の進行に寄与し、血管拡張作用持つホスホジエステラーゼ阻害薬が予防/治療候補薬となることを見出してきた。末梢血流障害の発生機序や、末梢神経と末梢血管との相互機能連関を明らかにするとともに、得られた結果を臨床に還元するトランスレーショナルリサーチを目指している。
