私たちの脳はどうやって経験にもとづき、状況に応じた適切な行動を生み出せるのだろうか。大脳基底核を中心とする神経ネットワークを調べることにより、不適切な行動を抑制し、適切な行動を生み出すための神経メカニズムを明らかにしたい。このメカニズムの解明により、将来的に神経疾患や精神疾患の治療法の発展に貢献したいと考えている。

The basal ganglia control our behaviors based on our experience. I investigate how our brains enable us to suppress inappropriate behaviors and produce appropriate behaviors, and would like to contribute to the development of therapeutic approaches for cognitive/behavioral disorders.
