人間を始め、生物は周りの世界について学習しないと生存していけない。そのためには「遺伝子」という内在要因と「環境」という外在要因が相互作用し、脳を作り上げていく。我々はその分子メカニズムに注目して、中枢神経系において、遺伝情報からタンパク質を作っていく過程で生まれるRNA分子がどのように調節されているかを研究している。
