1. 赤外分光イメージング法や近赤外分光イメージング法を用いた高分子材料・成形体の評価手法に取り組んでいる. 特に偏光解析と組み合わせることで,分子配向や複屈折などと化学組成の同時評価に関する研究を行っている. 2. 超高速DSCを用いて,高分子/ナノフィラー複合系や,ポリマーブレンドの結晶化挙動を解析し, 実成形プロセス相当の冷却条件下において添加剤が高分子結晶化過程に及ぼす影響を調べている. 3. 近赤外分光法を射出成形機に組み込むことで,内部のオンライン組成分析に取り組んでいる.

I have been developing new analytical techniques for polymer processing. 1. Advanced IR / NIR spectroscopic imaging methods have been developed. We succeeded in visualizing the hydrolysis of polylactic acid non-destructively by the developed imaging technique. The imaging technique, which can visualize both chemical composition and birefringence simultaneously, has been developed. 2. The crystallization kinetics of some polymer nanocomposites and polymer blends has been investigated by the fast scanning calorimetry. We revealed the strong crystal nucleating effect of cellulose nano-fiber and the crystallization retardation effect of low-crystallinity polypropylene. 3. A NIR spectrometer was combined with an injection molding machine. We succeeded in measuring the concentration of a physical blowing agent on-line during the foam injection molding process.
