生命情報学、特にDNA配列解析および遺伝子ネットワークに関する研究に従 事。記号力学系を用いたプロモータ配列からのモチーフ抽出法の開発を行っ た。また、遺伝子ネットワークの力学系モデルを提案し、発現データからネッ トワークを再構成を再構成する手法を開発した。近年は、ゲノムのコンテンツ 情報の視覚化や、遺伝子ネットワークの数理的解析に関する研究を行っている。

His research interests include bioinformatics, especially DNA sequence analysis and gene networks. He developed a method of motif discovery based on symbolic dynamics. He proposed a dynamical model of gene networks and developed a reconstruction method of networks from real expression data. Currently, he works on visualization of genome-content information, and mathematical analysis of gene networks.
