Overview of the research
(Japanese)
主に相転移ダイナミクス、ソフトマター物理などに関する統計物理、物性物理学を、理論・数値シミュレーションを用いて研究しています。ソフトマターは、高分子、液晶、両親媒性分子、コロイド、蛋白質などのソフトな力学的性質を持つ物質群の総称で、物理学・化学・生物学・材料科学の分野にまたがる学際的な性格をもつ重要な物質群です。 ソフトマターは文字通り柔らかく、流動・電場などの外場に対し敏感で、大変形の結果、容易に非平衡相転移が誘起されます。このためソフトマターは非線形・非平衡物理の研究の宝庫と言えます。
