抗体医薬品の機能や性質を最適化するための変異導入、二重特異性分子の設計、分子修飾などの方法論の創出、ならびに実用化を促進するための分子デザインの実践を行っている。さらに、これまでに実用化されていない方法に抗体等バイオ医薬品を応用していくために、その機能メカニズムを化学的に変換する方法を研究している。
