地盤材料の破壊メカニズムの解明を目的に,X線マイクロCTや画像解析を用いて土の構成要素である土粒子・水・空気の微視的な挙動を把握し,巨視的な変形・強度特性への影響について研究しています.また,杭や補強土壁のような土と構造物の相互作用について,より合理的な設計方法や理論の構築を目的とし,地盤内部の構造変化を解明する研究を行っています.

Research target is to clarify the failure mechanism of geomaterials. Microscopic behaviors of the soil particle, pore water and pore air and their influence on macroscopic responses are studied using an x-ray micro computed tomography (CT) technique and image analysis methodologies. Soil-structure interactions, such as pile foundations and reinforced earths, are also studied using the x-ray CT technique to establish more reasonable designs method and theories.
