多光子イメージング技術や光操作技術を用いて、生体マウスの神経細胞の電気的活動を高空間分解能で可視化し、学習や記憶などの高次脳機能実現のための回路メカニズムについて解明します。また、これら神経細胞やネットワークを可視化するために必要なプローブの開発をおこないます。

Probing functional neural circuits at high spatial-temporal resolution is crucial to understand how neuronal populations work together to achieve higher brain functions such as learning and memory. We aim to understand these circuit mechanisms with cutting-edge multiphoton imaging and optical control technology.
