SPring-8 等の放射光施設において,X 線吸収分光法を用いた触媒反応中の「その場」観察や新規な分析手法の開発および,自動車排ガス浄化触媒,酸素還元・酸素発生反応用電極触媒の基礎研究を行っている.

I'm interested in development and application of X-ray spectroscopy at synchrotron radiation facility such as SPring-8 to understand behavior of various catalysts at work (operando). I'm also engaged in fundamental study of automobile exhaust catalysts without platinum group metals (e.g. Pt, Rh, Pd) and electrode catalysts for oxygen reduction/evolution reaction.
