Molecular mechanisms regulating tumor progression and metastasis
Overview of the research
(Japanese)
細胞内のシグナル伝達に異常が生じると、結果的に腫瘍の悪性化や転移につながる例が数多く報告されている。そこで、がん細胞にのみ特異的にみられる腫瘍の悪性化や転移に関わるシグナル伝達経路を明らかにし、がん治療の新たなターゲットとなりうる分子の同定を目指す。

It has been reported that abnormal signal transduction in cells leads to tumor progression and metastasis. We try to reveal signaling pathways specific to cancer cells and to identify novel potential therapeutic targets for tumor progression and metastasis.
