        遷移金属化合物、希土類金属間化合物のナノ構造を対象とした超伝導、磁性の研究
      • Overview of the research

        現代の最先端の結晶作製技術を駆使して、物理学的に興味のあるナノ構造を有する物質を創製し、種々な電子物性の研究を行う。特に電子間の相互作用が強く興味ある量子現象が出現する遷移金属化合物、希土類金属間化合物を対象として超伝導、磁性を中心とした研究を行う。主な研究課題は(1)重い電子系希土類金属間化合物の人工超格子や素子の作製と新奇超伝導、(2)薄膜・素子による遷移金属化合物における高温超伝導の研究、(3)遷移金属化合物における異常な高・低原子価状態の実現と新奇物性、(4)スピン流やスピンホール効果などのスピントロニクス研究などである。当分科では分子線エピタキシー(MBE)法、レーザー蒸着(PLD)法などの結晶成長による薄膜・超格子を中心とした物質開発、ナノスケールでの微細加工技術による素子構造の形成に重点を置き、ナノ構造を活用した物性研究を推進する。
