カーボンナノチューブや原子層半導体などの極限的に細い/薄い低次元ナノ物質における 励起状態ダイナミクスとエネルギー変換過程, ならびに新たなナノ構造作製法の開拓に 関する研究を行っています。 これらの物質を通じて低次元物質における特異な光物性物理を解明するとともに、 物理、化学、工学の広い学術領域にわたる学際的視点から物質科学のフロンティアを切り拓いていくことで、 全く新しい量子オプトエレクトロニクスデバイス、新たなバイオイメージング手法、 高効率光電変換素子などの実現に繋げることを目指しています。
