Carotid plaque imaging and its clinical application
研究概要
(日本語)
頚動脈狭窄症は脳梗塞の重要な原因の一つである。不安定プラークの存在は脳梗塞発症リスクや外科治療における合併症リスク上昇との関連性が考えられる。様々なモダリティーを使用して頚動脈プラークイメージングを行いその有用性を検討しながら、脳梗塞の診断や治療、予防に貢献する。

Carotid artery stenosis is one of the important causes of ischemic stroke. It has been suggested the association between unstable plaque and ischemic stroke or complications after surgery. The purpose of our project is to contribute for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of ischemic stroke using plaque imaging with various imaging modality.
