1994年京都女子高等学校卒業、1995年神戸大学農学部植物資源学科入学、1999年同学科卒業、1999年京都大学大学院農学研究科農学専攻修士課程入学、2001年同修士課程修了、2001年同博士課程進学、2005年同博士課程修了。2005年から日本学術振興会特別研究員、その間2007年3月から1年半UC Davis博士研究員。2008年4月から京都大学農学研究科博士研究員。2009年から石川県立大学生物資源環境学部講師、2011年から同准教授。2020年10月から京都大学大学院農学研究科比較農業論講座准教授。現在に至る。2015年園芸学会奨励賞受賞。
