血液・腫瘍内科医として日々,血液悪性腫瘍(白血病,悪性リンパ腫など)と戦っています.腫瘍と免疫系の相互作用を明らかにし,新たな治療法の開発につなげることが夢です.現在は特にヒト樹状細胞を用いた免疫療法の開発をテーマに研究しています.

I am a doctor in the Department of Hematology and Oncology, Kyoto University Hospital. I am combating hematological malignancies, such as leukemia and malignant lymphoma, every day. My dream is to develop a novel therapy for hematological malignancies by elucidating the interactions between tumors and the immune system. Now, I am specifically working on clinical trials of dendritic cell-based immunotherapy for patients with leukemia and melanoma.

研究概要

ヒト樹状細胞の機能を解明することにより,腫瘍に対する新たな免疫療法を開発したり,自己免疫疾患の治療標的を同定したりすることを目指して研究を行っている.腫瘍に対する免疫療法として,急性骨髄性白血病患者を対象に樹状細胞を用いた免疫療法の臨床試験を行った。また,自己免疫疾患の治療標的の探索のため,ヒト形質細胞様樹状細胞のインターフェロン産生機構を解析している.

I am working on functional analysis of human dendritic cells, thereby aiming to develop a novel immunotherapy for malignancy, and to identify therapeutic targets of autoimmune diseases. We conducted clinical trials of dendritic cell-based immunotherapy for patients with acute myeloid leukemia. I am also analyzing mechanisms of interferon production by human plasmacytoid dendritic cells to explore therapeutic targets of autoimmune diseases.
