ゾル-ゲル等の液相法に基づく多孔性物質の形成過程を制御して、階層的な多孔構造をもつ塊状材料(モノリス)を始めとする、精密に制御された多孔構造を有する高機能な無機系および有機無機ハイブリッド系物質を作製する。

Preparation of porous inorganic/organic-inorganic hybrid materials through precise control over pore formation process in liquid-phase synthesis such as sol-gel. Applications to separation science, super heat-insulation, catalysis and electrochemistry are anticipated.
