野菜における有用変異系統の探索とその機能解析
研究概要
(日本語)
野菜として利用される植物には、野生種、在来種、変異体など多様な仲間が存在しているが、私たちが食べている野菜はその多様性のごく一部に過ぎない。多様な仲間の中から農業的価値のある「変わりもの」を見出し解析し、新たな野菜の育種に繋げようとしている。現在は主に、トウガラシ・ピーマン類について、辛味成分カプサイシンおよび類縁物質に関する成分育種学研究に取り組んでいる。
