Functional analysis of carbohydrates and epigenetics in the central nervous system, development and diseases / Rat bioresource
研究概要
(日本語)
遺伝子改変技術を用いて,脳神経系や発生,疾患における糖鎖およびエピジェネティクスの機能解析を行う。具体的には糖転移酵素遺伝子やヒストン修飾酵素遺伝子を改変して,特に脳神経系や発生過程における機能を解析することにより,グライココードおよびヒストンコードの解明を目指している。また,ラットのナショナルバイオリソースプロジェクトの運営を通してラット研究の発展に貢献し,ラット生殖工学技術の開発も行う。

Functional analysis of carbohydrates and epigenetics in the central nervous system (CNS), development and diseases are carried out using gene-manipulated animals. In particular, we generate gene-manipulated mice in glycosyltransferases and histone modification enzymes, and study about their functions in the CNS and development, elucidating the glycol-code and histone-code. We also contribute to expansion of rat research by management of National BioResource Project-Rat (NBRP-Rat), and develop rat reproductive technologies.
