研究概要

哺乳類の大脳皮質の形成過程は、均一な神経幹細胞から徐々に様々な種類の神経細胞およびグリアが作られ、それらが目的部位に移動し、さらにシナプスを形成することで形つくられる。この一連の発生過程は遺伝子発現制御によりダイナミックかつ緻密に制御されていることが想定されているが、その全容はまだ明らかとなっていない。大脳皮質の形成過程を遺伝子発現制御ネットワークとしてとらえ解明することを目指す。

During mammalian brain development, neural stem cells (NSCs) produce variety of neuronal cells and later glial cells. These neurogenesis and gliogenesis is assumed to be regulated by specific subset of gene expression, however their regulatory mechanism is still largely unknown. I'm trying to decipher mechanisms of cortical development through focusing on the the gene expression network regulation during neuronal development.
