1983年(昭和58年)兵庫県赤穂市生まれ。2005年に京都大学 工学部 物理工学科を卒業後、同大学院 材料工学専攻 修士課程に進学し、2007年に修士号を取得。引き続き同大学院 博士課程に進学し、中温動作型固体イオン伝導体の物性や相安定性の評価と材料設計に関する研究で2010年に博士号を取得。その後、三菱マテリアル株式会社にて銅合金の表面処理に関する研究開発に従事した後、2012年9月に東京大学 生産技術研究所の助教に着任し、レアメタル・貴金属のリサイクルプロセスの研究開発に取り組む。その後、2017年4月に京都大学大学院工学研究科 材料工学専攻 非鉄製錬学講座の特任准教授に着任し、現在に至る。専門分野は化学熱力学、電気化学、プロセス工学。現在は、非鉄金属の製造・リサイクルプロセスの研究開発に精力的に取り組んでいる。
