Structural studies of membrane proteins
研究概要
(日本語)
タンパク質は、生体の多様な機能を支える重要な働きを担っている。このようなタンパク質の機能を理解するには、タンパク質の立体構造情報が必須である。私は、膜タンパク質を主な研究対象とし、その立体構造を解明するとともに、タンパク質の構造変化や、タンパク質を標的とする化合物の探索、相互作用の解明などを目指した研究を行っている。

Proteins play important roles in various functions of the living cells. The structural information of the proteins is essential for understanding the functions of the proteins. The aims of my research include the elucidations of the 3D structure of membrane proteins and the mechanism of conformational changes of proteins as well as the structure-based design of new ligands.
