Overview of the research
(English)
We are trying to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of mammalian development using mice and rats. Specifically, using genetically modified mice and rats made by genome editing technology, we analyze phenotypes that appear when genes considered necessary for mammalian development are modified, and confirm the function of those genes. Based on these findings, we will develop disease and therapeutical model mice and rats that contribute to the development of therapeutics for human diseases.
