Degradation of persistent organic compounds Utilization of carbonaceous resources using carbon-base catalysts
Overview of the research
(Japanese)
生分解性に乏しい水中の難分解性有機物を、促進酸化技術を応用して、エネルギーのインプットと薬剤投与をなるべく抑えた酸化分解手法の開発をしている。炭素担体中に金属を高度に分散させた炭素系触媒を用いてギ酸やエタノールを改質し、エネルギー資源として有効利用する方法の開発も行っている。

We develop the applications of advanced oxidation processes to degrade persistent organic compounds in water, suppressing energy consumption and reagent dosage. We also develop the utilization of carbonaceous resources such as formic acid and ethanol through reforming using carbon-base catalysts with highly-dispersed metals.
