Kenji Ishida was born in Okayama Prefecture, Japan in 1964. He obtained his B. Sc. (1986) degree from Okayama University, and M. Sc. (1988) and D. Sc. (1991) degrees from Osaka University. He was a research associate at Osaka University (1991 - 2001), a visiting researcher at the University California, Riverside (2001), and an associate Professor (2002 - 2006) and a Professor at International Innovation Center (2006 - 2007), Kyoto University. Since 2007, he has been a Professor at Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University.

My research interests include nuclear magnetic resonance / nuclear quadrupole resonance (NMR / NQR), and muon spin rotation/relaxation (muSR) studies of strongly correlated electron systems (SCES); superconductivity, magnetism, and non-Fermi-liquid behavior at low temperatures in SCES.
