電子顕微鏡を用いた先端材料の構造解析と状態分析の研究を行っている。教育に関しては、理学研究科化学専攻の大学院学生を研究室に受け入れ、研究指導するなかで研究能力の構築に努めている。種々の共同研究や研究支援を通じて、研究成果の普及に努めている。また、研究所内の委員会にも参加し研究環境の改善に努めている。

I am conducting research on structural and state analyses of advanced materials using electron microscpes. As for education, one of my goals is to help graduate students acquire the practical skills needed to conduct joint research. I strive continuously to contribute to social development by working and supporting with companies. Furthermore, I take part in several committees and work diligently toward the improvement of the environment of the institute.

Overview of the research

高分解能電子顕微鏡と電子エネルギー損失分光法を組み合わせた手法を用い、結晶の局所領域の構造解析と電子構造解析を行っている。特に、遷移金属酸化物をはじめとする機能性材料の固体内界面や欠陥領域の構造と化学結合状態の解明に努めている。

We perform structural analysis and electronic structural analysis of the local region of the crystal using a method combining high-resolution electron microscopy and electron energy loss spectroscopy. In particular, we strive to elucidate the structure and chemical bonding state of the solid internal interface and defect area of functional materials including transition metal oxides.
