私は荷電粒子の加速器に関する研究を行なっている。コンピューターシミュレーションとともに実際に稼働中の加速器を用いたビーム実験により、非線形ビーム動力学およびビームの集団的扱いに関する研究を行なっている。また、加速器ビーム応用として、加速器駆動未臨界炉システム(ADS)および加速器内部標的によるミュー粒子発生の基礎研究を行い、原子炉運転後に生じる長寿命放射性廃棄物の核変換への実用化を目指している。

I have been researching accelerator of charged particle beams. By performing computer simulations as well as real beam experiments using working accelerator in our laboratory, basic research on non-linear beam dynamics and collective behavior of the beams are carried out. Furthermore, I am aiming at the practical application to transmutation of long-lived radioactive waste generated after reactor operation, by studying accelerator driven sub-critical system ( ADS ) or a novel accelerator system adopting an internal target to generate muons which induce transmutation via weak interactions.
