2008年京都大学大学院情報学研究科博士後期課程修了。博士(情報学)。専門は数理物理学と組合せ数学。可積分系や直交関数・特殊関数等を対象とし、組合せ数学の視点からの理論解析を行う。特に離散力学系および直交・双直交多項式、連分数、パデ近似・補間問題等に対する、グラフやネットワークを用いた数え上げ理論の構築を行ってきた。最近では非交叉ランダムウォーク等の統計力学への応用にも従事。日本応用数理学会、日本数学会、各会員。

Shuhei Kamioka holds a doctorate from Kyoto University in informatics. His research area is mathematical physics and combinatorics---combinatorial analysis of integrable systems and orthogonal and special functions---including discrete dynamical systems, orthogonal and biorthogonal polynomials, continued fractions, Pade approximation and interpolation as well as graphs (networks) and vicious walkers in statistical mechanics. Member of the Japan Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (JSIAM) and the Mathematical Society of Japan (MSJ).
