癌細胞表面に高発現する受容体および癌細胞内で重要な働きをするタンパク質を標的としたペプチドおよび癌細胞膜特異的に崩壊させるペプチドを組み合わせたハイブリッドペプチドの殺細胞効果ならびに、抗腫瘍効果を評価することで、新たな抗癌標的療法としての有用性を検討する。また、癌細胞内で特に重要な働きをする分子シャペロンの機能解析を一細胞レベル発光イメージング装置を用いて行い、発光イメージングの有用性を提示する。

We focused on the targeting to several receptors, which over-express on the refractory cancer cells including pancreatic cancer and glioblastoma, and designed hybrid peptide in which targeting peptides to these receptors were conjugated with lytic type peptide that disintegrates selectively cancer cell membrane. We are currently confirming the potency of these hybrid peptides as novel molecular targeted anti-cancer agents. We are also focusing on molecular imaging using bioluminescence at single cell level for functional analysis of molecular chaperone in cancer cells.
