風工学の分野をベースとして,橋梁の空力安定性に関する研究を進めるとともに,風工学の知見を活かして橋梁の維持管理に関する研究も行っています.また,教育という観点では,人材育成に資する研究であることを前提に,結果に至る思考の過程や学会発表等における説明の技術を高めてもらいたいと考えています.

One of my study topics is the bridge aerodynamics in wind engineering. In addition, I also work on maintenance problems of bridges from the viewpoint of wind engineering. As for education, I value researches which contribute to the development of human resources, and I want to improve students' ability of thinking and explanation.

Overview of the research

橋梁の効率的かつ効果的な維持管理の実現を念頭に、その劣化因子である飛来塩分について、橋梁表面への付着量評価に関する研究を行っています。付着量の評価は、風工学的視点から算出した空気の流れに基づく手法を用いています。また、橋梁の空力振動現象を調査・解明するための風洞実験や数値流体解析(CFD)にも取り組んでいます。

To realize more effective and efficient maintenance and management of bridges, I seek to predict the amount of airborne sea salt in each member of a bridge on the basis of a numerical simulation of air flows. In addition, I also work on wind tunnel tests and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to investigate and solve wind-induced vibrations of bridges.
