Personal Profile

従来の生化学的手法に加え、新しい網羅的解析手法を導入して生命現象の分子レベルでの解析を行うとともに、ゲノム情報を基に「細胞表層工学」を世界に先駆けて確立し、これまでになかった概念を導入した新たな細胞を創製してきている。開発した技術と特許をもとにバイオベンチャーを設立するなど、バイオロジーの基礎研究とバイオテクノロジーの基盤技術の開拓、社会への還元を視野に入れた研究活動を行っている。

Overview of your research
(Japanese)
タンパク質の分子構造と細胞の機能発現の動的相関の基礎解析を行う。また、ゲノム情報を利用して、細胞の潜在的機能の分子発掘と開拓を行っている。分子バイオテクノロジーの高度で先端的な研究により、生命現象を分子レベルで理解するとともに、応用から一歩踏み込んだ実用へと研究を発展させている。
