心肥大・心不全時に遺伝子発現が亢進するナトリウム利尿ペプチドの遺伝子発現調節メカニズムの解明に基づき、心肥大・心不全の発症・進展に関わる種々の分子について、ミトコンドリア機能や細胞内環境との関連に着目しながら研究をすすめている。また、BNPのプロセシングにおける糖鎖修飾に関連した分子メカニズムを明らかとするとともに、その病態生理学的意義の解明について研究を進めている。
