I am conducting research on efficient and safe energy transport in nuclear reactor. As for education, one of my goals is to help graduate students acquire the practical skills needed to conduct joint research. I strive continuously to contribute to nuclear power development by working with other researchers. Furthermore, I take part in several committees and work diligently toward the improvement of the environment of the university.

我々の研究では、21世紀のエネルギー問題の解決に貢献するため、地球環境に調和した高効率の核エネルギー利用システムの構築に関する基礎研究を、熱流体工学の立場から進めています。具体的には、次世代型原子炉や核融合炉、加速器駆動未臨界炉などの次世代型核エネルギーシステム、および核破砕中性子源などの大強度粒子線発生装置の熱水力設計に関する問題や、これらの核エネルギーシステムで遭遇する様々な極限条件下での熱流動現象の特性とその制御を研究対象としています。これらの研究は、模擬実験と数値計算を通して行っています。

We pursue safe and efficient use of high-density thermal energy produced in various next generation nuclear energy systems, such as an advanced nuclear reactor, fusion reactor and an accelerator-driven nuclear energy system. The research activity covers basic studies on the characteristics and the control of thermal-hydraulic phenomena under various extreme conditions which are encountered in the next generation nuclear energy systems.
