流体力学に関連した偏微分方程式を数学的に研究している。教育については、学部教育では基礎を重視した指導を行い、大学院教育では学生が自立して数学的に物事を解析する力を身に付けられるよう心掛けている。様々な分野の人々と交流し視野を広げながら、自然現象を数学的に解析することの魅力を広く社会に伝えていければと思っている。

My research area is mathematical analysis of partial differential equations related to fluid mechanics. As for education, I make much account for basic things for undergraduate course. For graduate course, I make an effort so that students can achieve the ability to analyze objects mathematically by themselves. I will contribute to society by revealing mathematical structures underlying various natural phenomena.

私の研究テーマは,流体力学に関連した偏微分方程式の数学解析です.特に非圧縮性粘性流体の速度場を記述するNavier-Stokes方程式や渦度場を記述する渦度方程式を主な研究対象としており,こうした非線形偏微分方程式の解の定性的・定量的性質を実解析・関数解析的な手法を用いて明らかにすることが大きな研究テーマです.

My research field is mathematical analysis of partial differential equations related to fluid mechanics, such as the Navier-Stokes equations for viscous incompressible flows, the vorticity equations, etc. I am also interested in real analysis, Fourier analysis, and functional analysis, which are fundamental tools in studying partial differential equations.

以下のような問題に取り組んでいる: (1) 非圧縮性粘性流体の非粘性極限における漸近挙動. 特に,Navier-Stokes方程式の解が十分な正則性を備えていない場合に 極めて微小な粘性がどのような影響を及ぼすのかについて興味を持っている. (2) プラントル境界層,エクマン境界層といった,流体運動に現れる様々な境界層の安定性と不安定性. (3) オゼーン流などの2次元外部領域における非圧縮粘性流体の構造と安定性・不安定性. (4) 回転障害物周りの流体運動の数学解析 (5) スケール臨界における非線形偏微分方程式の解の定性的・定量的性質.
