非平衡物理学を基礎とし、発生や疾患といった現象を定量的に理解する研究を行っている。また病理サンプルの力学特性を精密計測し、得られた定量的な物理的リードアウトを本来の病理診断と組み合わせることで、より正確な病理診断技術を開拓している。

My main research is to understand phenomena such as regeneration and disease in a quantitative manner using non-equilibrium physics. Also, by precise measurement of mechanical properties of pathological sample and combining the attained quantitative data with conventional pathology diagnosis, I am developing a more accurate, systematic diagnostic technique.
