Overview of the research
(Japanese)
近年の精密有機合成化学の発展にともない,これまで困難と思われてきた様々な有機化合物の合成が可能となってきています。基礎有機化学的な観点から,物理的・材料科学的に興味深いと考えられるパイ電子系有機化合物を実際に創り出すとともに,その電子状態を探り,それに起因する諸機能の発現を目指して研究しています。とりわけ,パイ電子系有機化合物上に発生した複数の電荷やスピンの示す振る舞いを基礎レベルで理解することが,真に分子エレクトロニクスに資する有機分子材料への応用展開につながると考え研究を進めています。
