Basic research and applications of living radical polymerization; synthesis of well-defined/highly-functionalized polymers and polymer assemblies and studies on their structure/properties and structure/functions relationships for the development of new polymer-based materials. One of recent interests is synthesis, properties, and applications of high-density, concentrated polymer brushes.
