原子炉の安全性・経済性向上に資するための基礎研究として、核燃料や原子炉材料の熱・機械的特性を実験的に評価しています。排熱から電気を直接発電することを可能とする無毒で安価な高性能熱電変換材料を開発しています。

To contribute to the improvement of safety and economy of nuclear reactors, I study the thermal and mechanical properties of nuclear fuels and materials. I develop non-toxic and inexpensive high-performance thermoelectric materials that enables us to generate electricity directly from waste heat.
