1997年大阪府立四條畷高等学校卒業、1998年京都大学農学部生物機能科学科入学、2002年同学科卒業、2002年京都大学大学院農学研究科応用生命科学専攻修士課程入学、2004年同修士課程修了・博士課程入学、2007年修了・学位(農学)取得。2007年より米国ペンシルヴェニア州立大学でポスドク、2011年に京都大学白眉プロジェクト特定助教、同年に同大学農学研究科応用生命科学専攻助教に採用、現在に至る。

昆虫の窒素代謝制御機構の解明

これまでに植物の抵抗性を誘導するエリシターとして知られてきたFACsが窒素代謝の効率化に関わることが明らかになってきた。幼虫中腸組織からのFACs生合成酵素を同定し、様々な昆虫におけるFACsの窒素代謝への影響を評価する。そこから発展して、鱗翅目幼虫における窒素代謝制御メカニズムを解明するとともに、コオロギやショウジョウバエなどFACsを持つ昆虫における窒素代謝制御の可能性を探る。
