添加剤による高分子材料の性能改善と機能性付与の分子論的描像を理解するために、高分子/添加剤混合系における構造形成と物理的性質について計算機シミュレーションおよび統計力学理論を用いて研究しています。特に、高分子ゲルのネットワーク構造と力学的性質の関係について解析しています。

In order to understand the fundamental molecular mechanisms of performance improvement and function addition of polymer materials by additives, we study the structure formation and physical properties of polymer/additive mixtures by computer simulation and statistical-mechanical theory. In particular, we investigate the relationships between the network structures and mechanical properties of polymer gels.
